Nothingness is a Non-Empty Set

(1) Things that do not exist do not need to be referred to in the first place and so a discussion of that which does not exist is futile. 


(2) On the other hand, there are lots we can discuss about existence. Existence is an optical illusion. 

 

(3) The complement to existence is nothingness, which, contrary to popular belief is a non-empty set. Nothingness is full of space. Nothingness is filled to the brim with space. Space is never empty. To be more rigorous, space is a never an empty set. 

 

(4) Existence proceeds from nothingness. 

 

(5) In terms of structure, existence reflects and is reflected by the spiral and the sigmoid curve which is basically a curved line, the former is visible - the spiral curve - while the latter - the sigmoid curve - is hidden and is not in plain sight. There are lots of things in nature which are not in plain sight. In plants for example, the phloem and the xylem exist but both are not in plain sight. In the human being, arteries of the human circulatory system exist but are not in plain sight. The should be a discussion on why - not only how - the curve exists, and it exists everywhere at every level in the cosmos. The realm of the physical conforms to the realm of shapes, which is the reason why only certain things are manifested in nature. Nature is associated with beauty. Only the most beautiful shapes are manifested in nature. Those shapes which are not beautiful are not manifested in nature. Those which do exist conform to the Fibonacci-fractal pattern, Fibonacci-fractal being the beauty principle that the universe conforms to. 

 

Before I forget, I had better state that it is a truism that the universe belongs to the realm of ideas..

 

Truth is indelibly connected with beauty. We can find out the truth by comparing our system of counting with the way the realm of nature objectively counts. The question is: Why does the realm of nature exhibit such a counting system? Briefly, the answer to that is the realm of nature is a beauty construct. Certain imperatives follow. Visual harmonies as they are expressed in nature provide a clue as to why our consciousness exists at all.
